We believe that a great organization starts with great people - and our HR team is at the heart of making that happen. If you're someone who genuinely cares about the employee experience and wants to make a real impact every day, we'd love to meet you!

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced, people-centered HR Generalist to join our team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you'll be a trusted resource for employees at all levels - handling everything from onboarding to benefits administration to compliance. You'll bring warmth and professionalism to every interaction, balancing employee goodwill with business goals.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full onboarding experience - coordinating across departments to make every new hire's first day exceptional
  • Serve as the go-to HR resource for employees and managers on policies, benefits, and HR processes
  • Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, COBRA, etc.), including enrollment, billing reconciliation, and employee education
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with I-9 requirements and all applicable employment laws
  • Track mandatory and non-mandatory training completion and conduct periodic HR file audits
  • Handle unemployment insurance claims and assist with employee relations matters
  • Monitor and report on employee satisfaction trends, flagging issues proactively to leadership
  • Support planning for company events such as benefits fairs, recognition events, and team celebrations
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of Planet Aid's HR policies
  • Create in-house videos and materials that help employees understand their benefits clearly

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of HR generalist experience - you've done this work and done it well
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and HR best practices
  • A warm, professional communication style - you connect easily with people at all levels
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail; you keep records clean and compliance tight
  • ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
  • comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; experience with benefit carriers (BCBS, Voya, USAble, etc.) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $62,000 - $68,000 annually, commensurate with experience

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • A collaborative, mission-driven workplace where your work genuinely matters

Work Environment

This is a full-time, office-based role. You'll work in a professional office setting alongside a collaborative HR team. Planet Aid values teamwork, mutual support, and a clean, respectful workplace for everyone.
