Human Resources Generalist (Temporary)
Position Overview
LHH is seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support during a temporary assignment. This position plays an integral role in delivering high-quality human resources services, supporting payroll administration, and ensuring efficient execution of daily HR operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with excellent organizational skills, a strong customer-service mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support a broad range of human resources activities throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee records management, and HR administration.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, ensuring all required documentation, system access, and orientation processes are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist with payroll administration by reviewing payroll data, researching discrepancies, processing adjustments, and ensuring employee records are current and accurate.
  • Manage employment verification requests and maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Administer unemployment claims by gathering required documentation, responding to agency requests, and tracking claim activity.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing timely guidance or directing requests to the appropriate team members.
  • Prepare recurring HR reports, maintain personnel records, and support data accuracy within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Assist with policy administration, employee communications, benefits-related documentation, and other HR programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on special projects, process improvements, audits, and other departmental initiatives to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources, HR administration, or a related role with exposure to multiple functional areas.
  • Experience supporting payroll processing, payroll auditing, or payroll administration is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS, experience with UKG Pro or similar HR/payroll platforms is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of employment practices, payroll procedures, and applicable federal and state employment regulations is preferred.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
