Positional Overview
The Imagine Group is recruiting for Human Resources Manager on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing and findings supplier based in Rochester, NY, specializing in producing high-quality components for the fashion and fine jewelry industry. In this role, you will support production processes, ensure precision and quality standards in metal component assembly, and assist with inventory management and order fulfillment for wholesale clients. You may also collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient workflow and meet customer specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and employee relations.
Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success
  • Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering polices, and by helping to resolve conflicts.
  • Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advises managers and employees on employment policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommends needed changes.
  • Addresses difficult staffing issues, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Recruits, interviews, performs pre-employment checks, and recommends the ideal candidates for available positions.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates training on relevant subjects for all employees annually and as needed.
  • Represents the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting methods are in compliance.
  • Prepares offer letters, separation letters and other documents.
  • Processes payroll for all employees.
  • Maintains the HCM/HRIS system to ensure accuracy of personnel records and payroll.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
  • BS degree in Human Resources; or a relevant degree from an accredited college or university; OR a minimum of 5 years' experience in the position of Human Resources Manager or Director. Five to seven years progressive secretarial/administrative experience.
  • Working knowledge of the English language. Highly skilled with current standard word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software and programs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex writings
  • Ability to write a detailed and clear correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-ones and/or group situations.
  • Advanced computer skills are required.
  • Ability to independently operate Microsoft office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using an HCM system is required
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical equations..
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
