Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Human Resources Intern to support staffing and employee engagement efforts at Aramark at LSU. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment, assisting with recruiting, onboarding, administrative tasks, and game day operations. The intern will partner with HR leadership, employees, and non-profit teams to support smooth operations and a positive workplace culture, while gaining valuable exposure to HR practices and hospitality management.

This internship will run for six months, ending in December, and will provide support to both nonprofit operations and the hourly workforce. The anticipated schedule is 25-32 hours per week. Please note that this position does not include benefits.
Job Responsibilities
  • Support the full hiring process, including recruiting, scheduling, onboarding, and helping coordinate event staff and NPO volunteers
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks like data entry, maintaining employee records, and supporting HR communications
  • Provide on-site event support, including staff check-in, credential distribution, and helping resolve issues in real time
  • Work closely with HR and Operations teams to ensure events are fully staffed and run smoothly
  • Assist in managing NPO partnerships, including recruiting, communication, and coordinating participation on event-days.
  • Track attendance and performance, assist with training sessions, and support post-event reporting to help improve future events
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Hospitality, or a related field; or have equivalent administrative/HR experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general digital tools, with the ability to manage data and systems accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, leaders, and external partners
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and event days; experience in events, food & beverage, or working with non-profits is a plus
