AS A BILINGUAL HUMAN RESOURCES & IMMIGRATION REPRESENTATIVE
You will be part of our diverse human resources team acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. Your friendliness, accuracy, and confidentiality will support our team and employees while conforming to labor laws.
BILINGUAL HUMAN RESOURCES & IMMIGRATION REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES CAN INCLUDE
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Conduct benefit enrollment for new employees.
  • Complete I-9 for new hires and maintain I-9 records.
  • Submit the online applicant investigation requests and assist with new employee background checks.
  • Conduct audits of various HR programs/processes and recommend any corrective action.
  • Update HRIS database records and process paperwork for new hires, terminations and other status changes.
  • Assist HR director with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Create new employee personnel files and file papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assist with or prepare correspondence.
  • Assist with recruitment.
  • Support the administration and compliance of the company's Permanent Residency Sponsorship Program in coordination with the HR Director and management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all Permanent Residency Sponsorship employees, including permanent residency application documentation, status of all applications and filing, and/or employment verification.
  • Prepare and track required reports and filings for federal and state agencies to ensure ongoing compliance with Permanent Residency Sponsorship program regulations.
  • Communicate with government agencies, attorneys, and third-party representatives regarding Permanent Residency Sponsorship petitions, audits, and documentation requests.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for incoming Permanent Residency Sponsorship workers, ensuring completion of all employment and immigration documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling and logistics for arrivals, departures, and extensions of Permanent Residency Sponsorship employees.
  • Serve as a administrative contact for Permanent Residency Sponsorship employees regarding HR-related questions and documentation needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS WE LOOK FOR
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, office administration, or a related administrative role required.
  • Experience working in an immigration law office, corporate immigration program, or employment-based immigration processes is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish are required.
  • Excellent phone etiquete.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft 365 suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Confidentiality is a must.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, respectful, can-do attitude.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven individual with extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Experience working with Sage accounting software is a plus.
