Senior Human Resources Generalist Job Description
Position Title: Senior Human Resources Generalist
Reports to: VP of Human Resources and EH&S
Status: Exempt
Position Summary
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a strategic HR partner who leads talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, and workforce initiatives. This role supports business performance and a strong employee experience across the full employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Workforce Planning
  • Partner with the HR Vice President and business leaders on workforce planning, succession readiness, and talent pipeline strategy.
  • Support assigned sites and remote employees by aligning people strategies with business needs.

Talent Acquisition
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for U.S. operations, including requisition planning, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and offers.
  • Partner with leaders to develop hiring strategies, build pipelines, and deliver quality hires.
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing, candidate evaluation, and selection decisions.
  • Lead onboarding and new hire integration to support engagement and retention.

Legal/Compliance
  • Administer HR policies, leave programs, and employment practices in compliance with federal, state, and local law.
  • Support employee relations, investigations, corrective action, and policy guidance with sound judgment.
  • Support HR compliance activities, including ISO audit, wellness, and safety initiatives.

Continuous Improvement
  • Lead process improvements that strengthen the employee experience and HR operations.
  • Partner with leaders to support employee development through training, mentoring, and learning initiatives.
  • Monitor onboarding effectiveness to improve engagement, retention, and early success.
  • Support benefits open enrollment and employee communications.
  • Administer leave and disability programs in accordance with policy and law.
  • Ensure employee data, status changes, and benefits updates are timely and accurate.
  • Prepare HR metrics on turnover, recruiting, headcount, and safety.
  • Coordinate tuition reimbursement and employee referral bonuses.

Culture/Environment
  • Lead employee engagement activities that strengthen culture and support a positive work environment.
  • Solicit employee feedback through engagement and Top Place to Work surveys and help translate insights into action.
  • Lead actions that improve the employee environment based on survey results and feedback trends.
  • Lead the PEP Squad engagement committee and drive activities and support throughout the calendar year.
