A Director of Human Resources provides strategic initiatives, directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Critical for success will be the ability to embody the corporate culture in all interactions and demonstrate professionalism and excellence in customer service.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, 10+ years progressive, generalist HR Management experience with 5-7 years of direct Supervisory responsibilities in one or more of these areas: Employee/Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, Compensation, Performance Management, HSE and/or Benefits
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general employment legislation and the application of regulations in the areas of TITLE VII, EEOC, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPPA and related employment law
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Proven record of successful conflict resolution, negotiation, and counseling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team 
  • Travel required.Â
