Job description

Will train and coach Federal government/military personnel in individual or group settings to develop mental skills necessary for peak performance. Skills include techniques to overcome mental barriers that could limit performance, methods to effectively build mental toughness to persevere in high pressure situations, and strategies to improve overall well-being and resilience.
  • Applies evidence-based literature to train and educate personnel on areas to include goal setting, visualization, energy management, attention sustainment, sleep management, and overall human performance optimization. (50%)
  • Conducts individual and group assessments to include observation, data collection, interviews, and consultations with organizational leaders to customize programs for optimizing and sustaining high levels of performance. (20%)
  • Attends staff meetings with interdisciplinary team members and government leadership to coordinate services aligned with organizational goals. (10%)
  • Provides expert guidance on matters related to mental performance, exercise science, and sport psychology. (10%)
  • Develops customized curriculum to support the human performance outcomes of the federal organization. (10%)

3+ years of experience as a Mental Performance Coach designing and implementing mental skills development programs for individuals and groups.
Demonstrated experience delivering training and education in various settings to include in-person and virtual modalities.
Capable of working outdoors for extended periods in all weather.
Willingness to travel up to 10% of time.
U.S. Citizenship.
Proficiently utilize computers, software, and technologies to document work performed, utilization, or other information requirements.
