Job description


Job Summary
Hub Group is looking for an experienced full-time Delivery Helper to assist in the delivery and installation of built-in appliances for our nationally known client(s). Must have 6+ months of appliance installation experience. Examples of appliances installed: Refrigerators, Freezers, Ranges, Microwave Ovens, Dishwashers, Trash Compactors, Washers & Dryers, and other home appliances.
Shift
4-day work week (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat) 6a start time until route is complete
Avg 12-15 stops a day
Pay
$20/hr (Weekly pay - OT after 40 hours)
$500 Sign On Bonus*
Essential Job Functions
  • Provide knowledgeable, courteous, and professional customer service while remaining customer-oriented and consistently exceeding customer expectations in every home entered.
  • Select and use basic tools to assemble, adjust and install various appliances
  • Safely travel in an efficient manner to installation calls on a scheduled route
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck, and a clean professional appearance
  • Must be able to follow complex installation instructions as per manufacturer specifications to complete installation of Refrigerators, Dishwashers, Stoves, Laundry, etc.
  • Consistently adhere to company policies across all areas, including safety procedures, customer interaction guidelines, and operational protocols.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs independently and up to 100-600lbs with the assistance of an appliance dolly and straps.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's license preferred.
  • Understanding of basic electric and plumbing principles for problem solving
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Must have 6+ months work experience as an appliance installer
  • Must have previous experience with an appliance dolly and straps.
  • Maintain a pleasant, polite, and professional demeanor when interacting with co-workers and delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
