Position Overview:
As a Delivery Helper, you will play a crucial role in our delivery operations by assisting with the transportation and delivery of products to our customers. This hands-on position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach. This role may also include driving a company vehicle as needed (based on scheduling and business needs), so safe driving habits and reliability are important.
Responsibilities
Loading and Unloading
  • Assist in loading and unloading products onto delivery vehicles.
  • Ensure products are securely strapped and arranged for safe transport.

Delivery Support
  • Ride along on delivery routes and help carry and deliver products to customer homes or job sites.
  • Place items in designated areas per customer instructions when appropriate.

Driving
  • Drive a company vehicle on assigned routes as needed.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safe driving expectations.

Customer Service
  • Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner during deliveries.
  • Represent the company positively at all delivery locations.

Product Verification
  • Verify deliveries match customer orders and invoices.
  • Report discrepancies or damages to the driver/supervisor promptly.

Safety and Compliance
  • Follow safety protocols during loading, unloading, and deliveries.
  • Use safe lifting techniques and proper equipment when needed.

Vehicle Care
  • Assist with basic vehicle upkeep such as fueling and cleanliness.
  • Report any vehicle issues to the driver or supervisor.

Communication
  • Maintain clear communication with the delivery team and supervisors.
  • Provide updates on delivery progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
  • Ability to regularly lift and move heavy items.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and ability to drive a company vehicle as needed.
  • Delivery experience is a plus, but not required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
