Job description


Position Summary
The HRIS Specialist serves as a key liaison between HR and IT, supporting the Oracle Fusion HCM platform across the employee lifecycle. This role ensures system integrity, drives process improvements, manages HRIS-related projects from initiation through completion, and delivers reporting and analytics that support strategic HR decision-making.
Essential Functions:
System Administration & Support
  • System Administration - Maintain and optimize Oracle Fusion HCM modules including Core HR, Benefits, Absence Management, Compensation, and Payroll integrations.
  • Troubleshooting & Support - Serve as the first point of contact for system issues; document, troubleshoot, and resolve or escalate as needed.
  • Data Integrity - Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Reporting & Analytics - Build and maintain reports using OTBI and BI Publisher to support HR leadership with accurate, actionable data.

Project Management
  • Project Planning & Execution - Lead and coordinate HRIS projects including system implementations, upgrades, and module rollouts, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables from start to finish.
  • Stakeholder Management - Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with HR, Payroll, IT, and business leaders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Quarterly Updates - Manage the end-to-end process for Oracle quarterly patch testing, including impact analysis, resource coordination, test execution, and defect tracking.
  • Risk & Issue Management - Proactively identify project risks and dependencies; develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues as appropriate to keep projects on track.
  • Status Reporting - Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders, including progress against milestones, budget tracking, and resource utilization.
  • Vendor Coordination - Manage relationships with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of support, enhancements, and integrations.

Process Improvement & Training
  • Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for automation and enhanced workflows to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.
  • Training & Documentation - Develop user guides, job aids, and training materials; provide ongoing end-user support and change management for new system features and processes.
  • Collaboration - Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors to implement solutions and support integrations.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in an HRIS role, with hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion HCM and managing HR technology projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle HCM Cloud modules; experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, and/or SQL preferred.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including developing project plans, tracking deliverables, and meeting deadlines.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Performance Management, or Talent modules.
  • Background in HR process automation or system implementation projects.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification a plus.
  • HRIS or Oracle HCM certification a plus.
