We're looking for a Staff Business Systems Analyst, People Systems (HR Technology) to be our lead business technology partner with the People Team and drive evolution of our HR technology stack. This role is a blend of business analyst, system administrator, and project manager focused on our core HR platforms and connected systems (HRIS, ATS, learning and related systems).
You will partner closely with the People Team, IT Teams, and other stakeholders to define business requirements, design, deliver and maintain solutions that improve employee and manager experiences, streamline HR operations, and provide trustworthy people data for decision-making.
This is a Staff-level individual contributor role with high ownership, broad cross-functional impact, and hands-on execution expectations.
This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in New York, Boston, or the EST US timezone.
What you will do:
  • Be the technical lead/admin of the core People Systems multi-system tech stack (HRIS, ATS, LMS, etc), partnering with the People Team to support, maintain, plan, and track systems changes for a global workforce.
  • Analyze, redesign, and recommend changes with HR processes (hire-to-retire, onboarding, job changes, performance management, offboarding, etc.) in Oura systems to streamline, automate, and reduce manual work.
  • Lead complex HR Systems projects with minimal oversight, from problem framing to implementation and rollout, aligning solutions with business objectives.
  • Partner with IT Teams to support integrations and data flows between HR systems and downstream consuming platforms, ensuring data quality and standards.
  • Build and maintain idea backlogs, track current and future projects, and support maintaining system roadmaps aligned to People/HR and company priorities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive business documentation, including use cases, data flows, and process diagrams in Confluence.
  • Partner with Security, Privacy, and IT Teams about security, compliance, and governance for People systems, including access controls, audits, configuration documentation, and change controls.

We would love to consider you for this role if you have:
  • 9+ years in IT Business Systems, People Systems/HR Technology roles with significant hands-on stakeholder management, systems configuration, and project delivery.
  • Deep, hands-on experience configuring at least one modern HRIS platform (e.g., Workday, Rippling) and ATS platform (Greenhouse, Workable) across core HR functions.
  • Deep understanding of HR processes, including recruiting, learning & development, performance management, compensation, and hire-to-retire workflows.
  • Proven track record owning end-to-end system projects from requirements and design through configuration, testing, UAT, launch, and post-launch support.
  • Strong integration mindset with a strong understanding of APIs and familiarity with common integration patterns. Experience partnering with architects and engineers.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills with HR/People leaders, managers, IT, security, tailored to both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting HR systems in multi-country environments, including familiarity with EU/GDPR data privacy requirements and localized payroll or compliance tooling.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 2 $154,700- $182,000
  • Region 3 $139,400- $164,000
