Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Human Resources Generalist for a growing manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.

The Opportunity: Human Resources Generalist

Your Role: The Human Resources Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resources department including recruitment, HRIS, benefits and leave, employee relations, and administering company policies and practices. The ideal candidate will partner with a collaborative team ideology to identify opportunities to bridge gaps, continuously improve initiatives and processes, identify future trends, and foster the growth of individual strengths to elevate the organization's culture.


Essential Functions:

  • Administers all aspects of benefit administration, including LOA and workers comp case management.
  • Facilitate new employee introduction, open enrollment and escalating complex questions to vendors.
  • Support safety compliance including respiratory and hearing programs and related reporting.
  • Develop recommendations for enhancing employee experience and process improvements.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Proactively reviews compliance and best practice with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of all HR related programs
  • Provides back-up support for payroll processing and time and attendance.
  • Provides back-up support for recruiting activities, as needed.

Reports To: Human Resources Manager

What We're Looking For:

  • Fosters a culture of inclusivity, collaboration & teamwork.
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • BS or BA in related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to apply and administer policies and procedures.
  • An analytical and problem-solving mind-set and strength and confidence to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
