Living Invigorating Valuable Experiences (LIVE, LLC), is a Woman owned, 8(a), performance driven professional services government contracting company that provides a broad spectrum of services and solutions to U.S. government agencies and organizations, based out of Atlanta, GA.
About the Position

LIVE is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support our U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) HR Staffing Support Services task order for the Office of Civilian Human Resources (PSC-CPM), based at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC. The HR Assistant provides records management, data entry, and transaction-processing support to the Civilian HR staff. Note that certain tasks, such as document scanning, must be performed in person at the St. Elizabeths facility. This is a non-supervisory (non-Key) role.
Responsibilities
• Review Official Personnel Folders and other records to validate Service Computation Dates and perform related calculations.
• Maintain hard and electronic copies of HR case files and research materials on precedence and case law; coordinate with HR staff regarding submission of case-related materials and Requests for Personnel Actions.
• Research basic HR policies and procedures.
• Review and maintain records, scan documents, and input data to electronic files/databases; extract data for reporting purposes.
• Assist staff with processing transactions to update or change personnel actions.
• Provide assistance with problem-resolution activities in support of personnel and pay processing.
Requirements
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing HR support services similar to those described above.
• Working knowledge of EmpowHR and National Finance Center (NFC) systems.
• Skill in independently coding and processing personnel actions in accordance with OPM's Guide to Processing Personnel Actions.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) via the Mission Partner Identity, Credential and Access Management (MP ICAM) process and National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and to safeguard unclassified but security-sensitive and Privacy Act-protected information.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior HR assistant experience within DHS, the U.S. Coast Guard, or another federal agency.
• Experience with federal personnel recordkeeping and Privacy Act-protected information.
