Internship Program Overview

The Justrite Safety Group Summer Internship Program is a high-impact, project-based experience designed to develop the next generation of leaders in industrial safety manufacturing.

Interns are not observers...they are key contributors. Each intern is assigned a capstone project tied to real business priorities and works closely with experienced leaders, high-potential mentors, and cross-functional teams.

This program is intentionally designed to:

  • Provide exposure to industrial manufacturing and safety solutions
  • Develop professional and leadership skills
  • Create a pipeline into future full-time and leadership development opportunities at Justrite Safety Group

Top-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles or future leadership development programs upon graduation.

Position Summary

The Customer Service Intern will support the team through a structured capstone project aligned to key business needs. This role offers hands-on experience in an industrial safety manufacturing environment, exposure to real-world challenges, and the opportunity to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary by function but may include:

  • Support inbound customer service inquiries via phone, email, and chat with professionalism and speed
  • Learn the company's product and service offerings to confidently assist customers with recommendations
  • Identify customer needs and cross-sell / upsell relevant products, add-ons, upgrades, or service packages
  • Assist the sales team by generating leads from customer conversations and routing opportunities to the correct rep
  • Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems (notes, contact info, order history, follow-ups)
  • Track customer issues, escalations, and resolution timelines to improve response consistency
  • Assist with order entry, order tracking, returns, and basic account troubleshooting
  • Analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify trends and recommend service improvements
  • Support customer retention initiatives such as follow-up outreach and satisfaction check-ins
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development events
  • Participate in Intern Week, professional development sessions, and networking events
  • Present final project outcomes and recommendations during Capstone Presentations to leadership

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
    (Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, Business, Marketing, HR, Analytics, or related discipline)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Curiosity, initiative, and interest in industrial manufacturing or safety solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); additional tools a plus
