Momar, Inc., a privately owned specialty chemical manufacturer based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the talent acquisition process, administering employee leaves, and maintaining the HRIS.


This position will be required to report to the Atlanta Office 5 days/week

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist provides administrative and operational support for the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for coordinating recruiting, onboarding and offboarding activities, maintaining employee records and HR systems, supporting performance management and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring compliance with employment documentation requirements, and providing excellent service to employees and managers.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage the talent acquisition process by conducting full-cycle recruiting for all Momar positions, including posting jobs, sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling interviews, checking references, and extending offers of employment.
  • Administer pre-employment activities, including background checks and new hire paperwork.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Administer employee separations and offboarding activities, including exit documentation and system updates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. Regularly audit data integrity in our HRIS.
  • Create, distribute, and manage employee forms and electronic documents through HRIS.
  • Review timekeeping records and coordinate resolution of discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee and manager HR inquiries. Generate and distribute recurring and ad hoc HR reports for management and other departments.
  • Administer the company's performance management process. Track performance review completion and follow up with managers to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and company events.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Recruiting/Human Resources
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and standards such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.
  • Experience with multi-state compliance a plus
  • Recruiting experience is strongly preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and electronic document management tools. ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Sedentary
  • Ability to occasionally lift up and/or move 20 lbs.
  • Frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, and talk or hear.
