Job description

We are seeking an Electrical Panel Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for the assembly and build of electrical control panels and small control/automation systems. Construction of control panels and small automation systems includes enclosure and panel modifications, mounting equipment, wiring of components, reading and understanding electrical schematics and wire diagrams, and deferring to the UL 508A standard for panel assembly.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings for control systems
  • Maintain a neat and organized work environment
  • Constructing, including assembly, wiring, and testing of UL 508A control panels
  • Punch, fabricate, and otherwise modify/machine enclosures
  • Install electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, or programmable logic controllers.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams
  • Research and document projects
  • Track project time lines to complete tasks on schedule
  • Test and ensure reliable operation of equipment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience in industrial automation, electrical controls, or other related fields
  • Experience working with VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and other instrumentation
  • Ability to read electrical prints and schematics to build to print
  • Knowledge of UL 508A standards, preferred
  • Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
