Position Summary
Hilton Garden Inn Arlington/Courthouse Plaza, proudly managed by StepStone Hospitality, is seeking an experienced and service-driven Housekeeping Manager to lead our Housekeeping department. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is passionate about maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, developing high-performing teams, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet Hilton brand standards and StepStone Hospitality expectations. This position partners closely with the Front Office, Engineering, and other hotel departments to ensure operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop housekeeping associates.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure Hilton brand standards are consistently achieved.
  • Prepare daily room assignments and staffing schedules based on occupancy and business demand.
  • Monitor labor productivity, payroll, and departmental expenses while maintaining service standards.
  • Ensure proper inventory and ordering of linens, guest supplies, cleaning products, and operating equipment.
  • Maintain key control, lost and found procedures, and department safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office to maximize room readiness and guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to ensure guest rooms and public areas remain in excellent condition.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service recovery opportunities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and administer corrective action when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Hilton brand standards, and StepStone Hospitality policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hotel housekeeping supervisory or management experience.
  • Previous Hilton brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, scheduling, labor management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings as business requires.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform inspections throughout the hotel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading housekeeping operations in a full-service or select-service Hilton hotel.
  • Knowledge of Hilton QA and Clean Stay standards.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
