Job description

Housekeeping Supervisor
Rate:ย $30 - $32/hour + $3 shift differential (depending on experience)
Shift:ย Part-Time
Schedule:ย 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, every other weekend

Northgate Health Care Facility is looking to add a Housekeeping Supervisor to its team. In this role, youโ€™ll oversee the daily housekeeping and laundry operations that help create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. If youโ€™re a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining high standards and supporting a team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff and ensure adequate departmental coverage
  • Oversee the collection, laundering, distribution, and safeguarding of resident linens and personal belongings
  • Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Coordinate housekeeping and laundry services with other departments to support resident care
  • Develop daily, short-range, and long-range plans for housekeeping and laundry operations
  • Assign duties, evaluate staff performance, and assist with training and orientation of team members
  • Manage department inventory and order necessary supplies and equipment
  • Maintain compliance with resident rights, safety standards, infection control practices, and facility policies

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in Environmental Services preferred
  • Minimum experience requirement: 1 year working in a housekeeping or laundry position; 1 year of supervisory experience in a service industry preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
