GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of System Administrator, to join our Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) team located in Tallahassee, FL. FDLE is responsible for maintaining Florida’s central repository of criminal justice information for the state’s law enforcement and criminal justice agencies, licensing and regulatory agencies, the business community, private citizens, and policymakers. In order to provide the highest level of services possible, OM is managing CCH through a Maintenance contract for 24 x 7 uptime, defect resolution, an enhancement to business functionalities and monitoring and managing entire infrastructure for release management, OS and software upgrade, DB monitoring and upgrade, End-of-life cycle for the software that manages CCH and enhancing system for FBI/III mandated changes. In order to assist on this project, OM is looking for 10 years experienced System Administrator who will go over all aspects of the configuration and maintenance of our CCH system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for system software as well as application software and Linux OS.
  • Review application logs. Monitor the system on daily basis and respond immediately to security concerns.
  • Upgrade systems and processes (release management) as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution. knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues.
  • Participate in the Change Control process and perform deployment of releases and software patches

Qualifications:

  • Good communication and written skills
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Products like EAP, Active MQ, etc.
  • Knowledge of Scheduler and Batch process
  • Java, Apache HTTP Server, JBOSS suites (Application server, AMQ, Fuse, JBPM), JBOSS Web Console, JBOSS Profiler, Open AM/DJ experience
  • Experience working in State and/or Public Sector domain
  • Oracle experience
  • Any automation tool and knowledge on DR
