General Description

House Managers are responsible for supervising the daily operation of their respective location and to assist individuals to develop, achieve, and grow to their highest potential while upholding the agency core values.

Job Duties

  • Evaluate, train, and supervise direct support staff in residential and community settings.
  • Demonstrate availability and flexibility as needed to provide proper staffing.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of staff coverage for the home.
  • Responsible for holding staff accountable to complete all required agency training.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all required documentation.
  • Address employee issues regarding job performance in a respectful, open, and confidential manner.
  • Follows disciplinary procedures and addresses employee issues in a professional manner.
  • Work with the nursing team to ensure individuals receive quality medical care.
  • Report all medical issues and non-compliance issues to the nursing team immediately.
  • Manage the security and expenditures of funds.
  • Model and maintain a positive, productive team and work environment.
  • Promote social opportunities and community inclusion for individuals.
  • Exhibits a thorough knowledge of the individual’s and their interests, talents, and needs.
  • Direct the delivery of individual program services and goals.
  • Demonstrate and monitor appropriate use of all safety equipment.
  • Ensure timely reporting of work or non-work-related injuries or illnesses to the HR Department.
  • Oversee the maintenance and condition of home, equipment, yard, and vehicles.

  • May be required to work weekends.

Education, Licenses, & Training

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

  • Prior experience with medically fragile individuals.
  • Obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Obtain and maintain Certified Medical Technician certification.


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 year experience in a group home setting or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a supervisor in a group home setting or relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with medically fragile children or similar demographics is a plus.
