Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Allentown, PA
Reports to: Director of East Coast Operations

As we continue to expand our fulfillment footprint and increase our operating complexity, we are looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead our Allentown, PA warehouse operations.
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee the Receive (Inbound) and Fulfillment (Outbound) operations focusing on all aspects of safety, quality and productivity. This role oversees salaried and hourly Associates, setting clear expectations, managing performance and driving successful outcomes. As a hands-on leader, this position will be actively involved on the warehouse floor to support day-to-day operations, solve problems in real time, and ensure smooth execution.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead Salaried/Hourly Workforce: Responsible for leading an Associate workforce in an e-commerce fulfillment operation (Receiving, Pick/Pack and Outbound). Sets clear goals and expectations to measure performance and hold teams accountable. Supports, mentors and motivates the workforce.
  • Contributes to Warehouse Planning: Develops weekly schedules for staffing according to daily capacity needs. Participates in weekly reviews of Marketing initiatives.
  • Ownership of Hiring and Performance Management: Responsible for interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
  • Continuous Improvement of Warehouse Operations: Drives continuous improvement projects to improve warehouse efficiency. Partners with Development, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to implement, monitor and refine new technologies and automation solutions.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for accurately managing inventory through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory planning and forecasting software.
  • Maintenance and Supplies: Oversees maintenance of warehouse equipment and materials. Monitors warehouse non-inventory supplies and plans orders.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Development, Engineering, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Training and Development, Marketing to meet business objectives.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide clear status updates, insights and recommendations to leaders and cross-functional partners.

Other Requirements:
  • Work both weekend days
  • Work some Holidays
  • Frequently lift up to 49 pounds; push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • Stand/walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
  • Work in an environment where noise level varies and can be loud
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperature and weather conditions

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing teams in fulfillment, warehousing and/or manufacturing operations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing a team of 20+ employees
  • Experience launching new warehouse facility (and/or facilitating warehouse relocation/construction activities)
  • Experience in maintenance of material handling equipment, machinery or robotics
  • Experience with OSHA, 5S and other warehouse safety and/or organization guidelines
  • Experience using data and metrics to identify business opportunities and drive meaningful improvements
  • Experience working with automated warehouse solutions and/or robotics
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations, Engineer, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field
