Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Clerk
Location: Northern New York State
Employment Type: Full-Time


Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk to support warehouse operations at an underground mining facility in northern New York. The ideal candidate will assist in inventory control, material handling, and maintaining accurate warehouse records while ensuring safe and efficient operations both above and below ground.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Locate and distribute materials, equipment, and supplies in both surface and underground warehouses

  • Receive, inventory, and stock incoming shipments accurately

  • Maintain detailed records of goods requested and received

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding material distribution

  • Analyze inventory needs and product requirements to maintain stock levels

  • Update and manage computerized warehouse records

  • Ensure appropriate and safe use of equipment, facilities, and materials

  • Perform inventory cycle counts as directed by warehouse leadership

  • Operate tractors and forklifts to transport supplies

  • Safely lift up to 50 lbs. from ground level to a 4-foot-high shelf

  • Use and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Conduct safety checks of workplace and equipment at the beginning and throughout the shift

  • Prepare worksite safely and efficiently prior to starting tasks

  • Report unsafe conditions or actions immediately and take appropriate corrective measures

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with QuickBooks is a plus

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members

  • Knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety practices
