We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Household Goods Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. This individual will be responsible for maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment while leading warehouse personnel and ensuring the proper handling, storage, and distribution of customers' household goods.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the household goods warehouse, ensuring efficiency, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse personnel while fostering a positive, safety-focused work environment.
  • Ensure all household goods are received, inventoried, stored, and released accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records using warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with dispatch, move coordinators, drivers, and customers.
  • Conduct regular warehouse inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, and company policies.
  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, vaults, and moving equipment.
  • Monitor warehouse security and ensure customers' belongings are protected from damage or loss.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies while implementing corrective actions to improve accuracy.
  • Assist with loading and unloading household goods as needed, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for warehouse activities, inventories, storage records, and shipment transfers.
  • Collaborate with management to improve warehouse processes, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all employees follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized facility.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse management and/ or supervisory experience, preferably in the moving, storage, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Experience managing household goods storage is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop warehouse staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with inventory and warehouse management.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification (we can certify here, with proper experience).
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties as needed.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends when operational needs require.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
