SUMMARY
This position will provide strategic direction and leadership to multiple Rand-Whitney warehouses. The role is responsible for driving the execution and activity of all warehouse operations specifically with areas of focus within safety, compliance and transportation functions across all locations. The Area Warehouse Manager is responsible for daily activities and providing support for Production Scheduling, Customer Service and Sales. Will ensure the accuracy of shipment scheduling and be required to follow company policies and procedures. Will manage and coordinate daily and nightly deliveries (including offsite warehouse transfers), coordinate and plan with the material loaders, direct and manage dispatching personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer shipments. Will monitor inventory levels and aging on a daily and weekly basis. Will work towards efficiencies within the warehouse. Will be responsible for ordering supplies as needed to run the warehouses.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Coordinates with Production and Project Management to create and adjust shipping schedules
  2. Maintaining daily deliveries (including offsite warehouse transfers), coordinate the plan with the material loaders, and direct dispatching personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer shipments
  3. Knowledge of Corrugator and Press Depts. procedures and production schedules
  4. Assists with design and implementation of work methods and operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing customer orders with Customer Service and Production
  5. When needed attend production management meetings and drive the corresponding activity throughout the shipping organization
  6. Able to review work processes, recommends measures to improve shipping methods, equipment performance, and quality of product or service, suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency
  7. Familiar with all records (Logbooks for all truck drivers to ensure DOT compliance), and prepares and submits required paperwork
  8. Develops and trains staff
  9. Communicate all issues and concerns to General Manager
  10. Special projects and assignments as business dictates
  11. Responsible for all paperwork accuracy, and daily filing
  12. Responsible for communicating with the staff at Greenwood Street to ensure all items needed for deliveries were loaded
  13. Responsible for all first trips being done and ensuring the production line doesn't back up
  14. Responsible for making roll stock delivery appointments, coordinating with transportation companies, checking in driver, creating labels and processing paperwork (Audit trails) for accounting department
  15. Monitor inventory levels and accuracy at multiple warehouses
  16. Relocate inventory based on geography or other key factors related to specific accounts
  17. Coordinate with shipping managers at multiple RW sites
  18. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 -7 years of experience in the field
  • Prior management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Well organized and attentive to details.
  • Proficient communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Corrugated packaging experience
