Facility Maintenance Technician - Theme Park

Job description

Michigan's Adventure has an immediate opening for Facility Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities:

· Follow all policies and procedures of Michigan's Adventure and the Maintenance Department.

· Adhere to all federal and state guidelines, regulations, and laws.

· Perform regular carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance across the property.

· Ensures proper use of machines, tools and equipment, and ensures that the employees are properly instructed and trained on the safe use of tools and equipment used while performing work, and that personal protective equipment is used in accordance

· Performs frequent daily site inspections of ongoing work and review of upcoming work.

· Checks Park areas frequently for any needed repairs and maintenance.

· Conduct rounds of all filtration areas to inspect pumps

· Basic water testing using correct lab practices and procedures.

· Use computers for communication, chemical monitoring/operation, reference, and reports/logs.

· Keep records and inventory.

· Participate in the inter- and intra-departmental cross training program.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Prior experience as a handyman, plumber, painter, carpenter, or HVAC technician preferred. Experience with restaurant equipment troubleshooting is a plus.

· Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

· Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.

· Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills are critical for success.

· A working knowledge of Federal, State and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations are vital to success

· Proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and be capable of bending, squatting and kneeling.

· A working knowledge of the operation of hand and power tools, heavy equipment, etc., with the proven ability to train others on the safe usage of equipment is critical to success

· Proven ability work outdoors in all-weather condition and in muddy, dusty, wet and dirty conditions.

· Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

· 18+ minimum age
