Job description

Elephants Corner Wines is seeking an experienced, motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our dynamic team and take the Raleigh-Durham and surrounding market by storm! Specializing in sales of our amazing small-medium producer South African wines, you will be responsible for engaging with existing and potential clients through various sales techniques, including cold call and existing client visits, tastings and public events.


Importantly, this position is for someone who is motivated to work hard to meet goals! Also, the ideal candidate will have some or a lot of experience in the world of wine and want to show us that they have the talent to perform at the highest level. Your primary goal will be to confidently sell and promote our products and services, build strong relationships with customers, and drive sales growth. You will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for sales and will have at least a year's experience in wine sales. The ideal candidate will reside in the Charlotte territory in which you will be working, which includes Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest and surroundings. The position includes training both on the road and at our office in Winston-Salem. You will begin your role at the start of September 2026.


Responsibilities

  • Introduce products and services to new and existing customers through tastings and placements.
  • To grow the business by landing and maintaining new accounts
  • Utilize inside sales techniques to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales effectively while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively with clients to build rapport and trust.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with your manager to develop strategies for increasing market presence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively position our products.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in wine/beverage sales is strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and close deals in a competitive environment.
  • Proficiency in managing customer relationships.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A positive attitude, resilience, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.


Benefits

Compensation includes hourly base salary plus commission and fuel. Training will be provided to help get you started, and periodically thereafter.
