Job description

NEW Laboratory Manager/Supervisor OR Blood Bank Manager opening at one of the most reputable laboratories in the United States! This laboratory is known to follow rigorous quality standards and process controls to meet state and local regulatory requirements. They are looking to hire an California Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) and ASCP Certified SBB (Specialist in Blood Bank) OR Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) to oversee a high complexity blood bank department. 

Responsibilities include: manage and control all daily laboratory operations, including all laboratory staff, budget, environment, and work processes. In addition to the above certifications, applicants must have previous complex blood banking experience in either a hospital or a reference laboratory environment.

Requirements: 

- California State License as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist 

- MS Degree preferred, BS Degree Required 

- ASCP Certification as a SBB, BB, MT or MLT 

- Previous Blood Bank, Transfusion Services or Reference Laboratory Leadership experience
