Job description

Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for the oversight of recruitment efforts for all positions within
Desert Hospitality Management as needed. The ideal candidate will use creative
and innovative approaches to build our candidate pipeline with a heavy focus on high-volume seasonal non-exempt recruiting.
Increase the presence and knowledge of Desert Hospitality Management as preferred employer, building relationships within the community and attending job fairs. This dynamic individual will build and maintain close relationships with
our Hotel Human Resources team.
Position Qualifications and Requirements:
Education & Experience:

Bilingual: English and Spanish is a plus.
Hospitality Experience, Preferred.
Travel is required within the Tucson and Phoenix Area
Physical Demands:
• Long hours are sometimes required, including some nights and weekends.
• Medium work-Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequentlyor constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand for long hours at a time.
Responsibilities may include any and all of the following:
• Understanding recruitment key performance indicators including, but not limited to number of employees hired, lead generation, reductions in turnover and staff development.
• Understand and focus on hiring priorities with the ability to quickly adapt when necessary due to changing priorities.
• Ensures adherence to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process.
• Take steps to ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Organize and/or attend career fairs or other community events.

• Collaborates with, influences and serves as a single point of contact for the employee engagement teams.
• Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
• Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
• Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
• Coordinate and team with HR department to maintain a clear understanding of hiring needs and organizational goals in order to assist, drive and ensure successful timely recruitment and hiring.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of the organizational structure, incentives, and company culture in order to answer any questions a potential hire may have and entice top talent to join the team.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the entire recruitment process.
• Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates. Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
• Identify opportunities and serve as Brand Ambassador at various events, like career fairs or on-campus recruiting events.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Competencies:
• Focus on attracting quality talent and build a high-quality pipeline of talent for critical positions within the industry.
• Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
• Create and foster relationships with colleges to attract and recruit alumni and diversity candidates. Acts as an ambassador for Desert Hospitality Management.
Required Competencies cont'd:
• Coordinate Desert Hospitality Management efforts with hotel partners for colleague careers fairs; identify hiring needs, create a system of candidate communication and follow-up. Attend Career Fairs.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods(including social media) and strategies based on the role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
• Support new hotel transitions; coordinate with on-property efforts, career fairs, task force, job postings, and recruiting of exempt and non-exempt associates.
• Excellent understanding of full cycle recruitment processes with proven results in effectively recruiting for all levels of an organization from hourly front-line to executive level.
• Have exceptional interpersonal skills, with a demonstrable ability to take the initiative and develop strong, productive relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all levels of the organization.
• Strong computer skills including internet savviness, software utilization, and the development and maintenance of documents utilizing Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Thrives in a diverse, fast-moving, ever-evolving environment with proven experience in developing and recommending innovative, creative solutions.
• Proven experience in utilizing multiple sourcing resources for recruitment - social media, staffing, internal, etc.
• Results-oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner.
