Program Manager, Data Classification & Governance

Objective Orchestrate the end-to-end execution of the Data Classification and broader Data Security Governance program. This role requires a high-agency lead to bridge the delta between strategy and technical implementation across Cyber, Risk, and Business platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Convene stakeholders from Cyber Engineering, Insider Threat, Risk, and Data Architecture to ensure cohesive governance enforcement.

  • Workstream Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of the program, including tool selection, functional pilots, and the remediation phase following the 2027 deployment.

  • Stakeholder Finesse: Serve as the primary autonomous lead for business engagement, translating complex data security requirements into actionable business logic.

  • Strategy Integration: Partner with internal data teams to align structured data strategies with the overarching security architecture.

Qualifications & Provenance

  • Domain Expertise: Demonstrated history of standing up successful Data Governance or Information Management programs. Deep familiarity with data security frameworks is essential.

  • Autonomous Execution: Proven ability to drive results with minimal oversight, acting as a \"white glove\" representative for the program in high-level executive meetings.

  • Vector for Growth: While Oil & Gas experience is preferred, high-caliber talent from other regulated industries is encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate rapid domain acquisition.

  • Tactile Presence: Local presence in Houston is strongly preferred to facilitate critical path stakeholder engagements.
