KBR is seeking a Senior Program Manager to support the Simulator Division (AFLCMC/WNS) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The successful candidate will provide acquisition planning and execution support to U.S. Air Force program offices, specifically focused on simulator systems for aircrew and maintenance training. This role requires a highly experienced program manager capable of leading complex defense programs across the full acquisition lifecycle while ensuring delivery of mission-critical capabilities on time and within budget. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the local Wright-Patterson AFB area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop acquisition planning and execution documentation for complex defense projects; analyze cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
  • Provide acquisition planning and execution support across the full lifecycle, including requirements development, system design, testing, fielding, and sustainment.
  • Apply expertise in DoD acquisition processes to support aircraft aircrew and maintenance training simulator programs.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders across government, contractor organizations, and intelligence communities.
  • Develop, track, and analyze program metrics to ensure effective program oversight and decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and status updates to senior leadership.
  • Ensure program compliance with DoD, Air Force, and AFLCMC policies, regulations, and acquisition frameworks.
  • Identify program risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolution.
  • Lead and facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure alignment across functional areas.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Program Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of program management experience supporting DoD acquisition programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cost, schedule, and performance for complex defense programs.
  • Proven experience supporting simulator, training systems, or aircraft-related programs.
  • Strong knowledge of the DoD 5000 series acquisition framework and lifecycle processes.
  • Experience supporting programs across all acquisition phases (requirements through sustainment).
  • Ability to develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and program baselines.
  • Experience in program risk management, including identification, analysis, and mitigation.
  • Familiarity with program financial management, budgeting, and execution tracking.
  • Experience preparing and delivering executive-level briefings and reports.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across government and contractor environments.
  • Experience leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
  • Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
  • Must reside in or be willing to work in the Wright-Patterson AFB, OH area.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Experience supporting AFLCMC or Wright-Patterson AFB programs.
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation (M&S) systems and training technologies.
  • Experience working with intelligence community stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid acquisition/program management environments
  • Knowledge in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Previous government contracting industry experience highly desired.
