CASHIER
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on duty
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly, PART-TIME
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service possible and to support Farm & Home Supply in every aspect of the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide customers with outstanding service through friendly, quick, and efficient customer service.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Follow loss prevention and safety procedures implemented locally as well as at the state and federal levels.
  • Attend job-related meetings that may require out-of-town travel.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, fellow Team Members, and Management.
  • Follow all applicable company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure that your work area has sufficient supplies to complete duties as assigned.
  • Notify the appropriate personnel promptly when a customer requests assistance for a carry out.
  • Maintain accurate cash register operations by following the Farm & Home Supply Cashier Procedures as well as basic stocking and bagging at checkout.
  • Able to work weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Some stocking and cleaning duties when not assigned to registers.
  • Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required.

Minimum Requirements of Training and Experience:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds occasionally engaging in assisted lifting over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
