Apply today to become a part of our growing team!The Service Technicians at Mason Tractor carry many responsibilities. Time is crucial for technicians. Technicians will be given a work order when they have a new unit to work on. It is their responsibility to clock in and clock out when they are working on the unit. It is also required that they manually record times on the back of the work order as well in case of computer failure. We charge an hourly labor rate, and charge customers every second we spend working on their equipment. This is why it is essential that technicians are always on the clock when working on equipment but also clock out for any time spent not working on the equipment so we charge the customer accurately.Primary DutiesPerform maintenance tasks and repair or replace damaged parts, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
Use extreme caution on work performed in the facility and ensure that they always wear their uniform, any safety gear needed for certain jobs (always wear a welding mask when welding), and protective shoes.
Technicians must remain busy during downtimes, including when waiting on parts from the Parts Department, including cleaning and maintaining their work area.
Service Technicians share the assembly bay, so it is essential that they clean up after themselves and keep this bay organized. Tires are set in stacks, labelled with a stock number for the tractor they are supposed to go on. Service Technicians need to make a conscious effort to use the tires with their corresponding tractor.
Service Technicians should be highly specialized in this field, and we understand the value of their work.
