Location: In person at the Downtown Branch (601 W. Mallon Ave)

Wage: $23.83 - $28/hr + incentives - DOE

$1.00/hr wage premium paid to bi-lingual employees.

Job Duties:

Assist members with a wide variety of services and advise as to how best to utilize credit union products and services in order to meet personal financial goals and provide the highest quality member service.

  • Embrace Canopy’s Service Standard: Make your moments matter.
  • Lending: Interview loan applicants in person and by phone, gathering required information for credit application, explaining loan options, rates, terms and collateral requirements, provide general and specific loan information and disburse funds accordingly.
  • Account Opening: Open various new accounts, process necessary information and educate the members as to services/products available as a result. Assist members with opening Term Shares and educate to penalties, earnings, etc.
  • Conduct and cross-sell financial coaching sessions as needed.
  • Responsible for actively promoting marketing efforts and to help evaluate effectiveness and quality of delivery of services and make recommendations.
  • Responsible for following up with members at specified intervals after membership opened or loan booked.
  • Maintain a high attention to detail to ensure quality of work with member accounts, loans and other member services.
  • May travel locally between branches based off the assignment from the Branch Manager and the needs of the branches.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Six months to two years of related experience (sales, retail, financial). Must be proficient in the use of 10-key calculator. Typing skills required and good PC skills a must. Possess good organizational skills, high level of attention to detail and must be able to prioritize work.

Requires the ability to remain on the phone for long periods of time.

Requires the ability to listen and communicate effectively.

Requires the ability to use fingers to feel and handle various objects.

Requires the ability to walk, reach, bend and lift various objects using arms, hands and legs.

Requires the ability to move freely around the Credit Union to other departments
