Description
Boulder County Public Health Department is seeking to hire an Hourly Finance Assistant. This position covers any finance area where additional assistance is needed. They will assist in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Grants and Budget. Audit assistance will also be requested.
This is an hourly, non-benefited position that will work up to 15 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with varying hours. This position will work out of 3450 Broadway St., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $30.00 - $35.00Hourly
Tentative Hiring Timeline:
  • Phone Screening: Week of July 20th
  • First Round Interviews: Week of July 20th
  • Second Round Interviews: Week of July 27th
  • Reference Check: Week of July 27th

Examples of Duties
  1. Provide back up to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Grants and Budget
  2. Create Deposits
  3. Create check run
  4. Manage AP Inbox
  5. Audit Purchase Card transactions
  6. Create Awards and Projects in Oracle for addition to General Ledger
  7. Maintains all projects in Oracle
  8. Assists with other Finance duties as requested
  9. Prepare and submit journal entries
  10. Assist Grants and Budget in back up role
  11. Performs related work, as required
  12. May be reassigned during emergency situations

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of:
  • Five (5) years of accounting and finance experience

Additional related education may count towards required experience.
BACKGROUND CHECK:
