What is the difference between Hourly Ehs vs Ehs Coordinator?

AspectHourly EhsEhs Coordinator
CertificationsOSHA, OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPEROSHA, HAZWOPER, possibly additional safety certifications
Work EnvironmentOn-site, hands-on safety tasks, variable hoursOffice and site visits, coordinating safety programs
Employer & Industry UsageConstruction, manufacturing, industrial facilitiesIndustrial plants, construction sites, corporate safety departments

Both roles require similar certifications and are common in industrial and construction industries, but their daily responsibilities and work environments differ.

Is EHS a stressful job?

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles can be stressful due to the responsibility of ensuring workplace safety, compliance with regulations, and managing emergencies. The level of stress varies depending on the industry, company size, and specific job duties, but strong organizational skills and certifications can help manage workload and pressure.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

An hourly Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional can potentially earn around $10,000 a month with extensive experience, specialized skills, and certifications such as CSP or CIH. High-level EHS roles in large corporations or industries like oil and gas, manufacturing, or construction often offer such compensation without requiring a traditional degree, focusing instead on expertise and safety management skills.

What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule for hourly EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) jobs typically refers to a probationary period of three months during which an employee's performance and fit for the role are evaluated. During this time, employees may receive additional training and supervision, and employment status may be reassessed based on performance and compliance with safety standards.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Hourly EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) roles typically do not pay $2000 a day; such high daily rates are more common in specialized consulting, executive-level positions, or contract work in industries like oil and gas, construction, or engineering. These roles often require extensive experience, certifications, and sometimes involve on-site or hazardous environment work, which can command higher pay rates for short-term or project-based assignments.
