Senior Accountant (Costpoint)

Location: Hybrid / Onsite / Remote
Industry: Government Contracting

Pay Rate $50-60/hour

Overview

Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant to take ownership of core accounting functions within a Deltek Costpoint environment. This role partners closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller and plays a critical role in close, reporting, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthend and quarterend close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain accuracy of financial data within Costpoint
  • Support billing, revenue recognition, and project accounting
  • Assist with DCAA and external audit requests
  • Identify process improvements and system efficiencies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Deltek Costpoint experience required
  • GovCon experience strongly preferred (FAR/DCAA exposure a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills; CPA preferred but not required
