NEEDED: Radiology Technician

LOCATION: Leavenworth, KS 66048

SCHEDULE: 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day, between 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

QUALIFICATION:

  • Must be certified to perform radiological imaging in the State of Kansas.
  • Must have at least three or more years of experience.
  • CPR Certification required
  • Failure to submit evidentiary documentation (ARRT, licenses, CPR Certification) may result in elimination from consideration.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and law enforcement agency background check.

EQUIPMENT: General Electric GNE65265, General Electric GE G30529, and issued dosimeter.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Performing diagnostic imaging examinations by operating x-ray machines
  • Explaining purpose, procedures, and positioning of imaging to patients
  • Maintaining radiological equipment by performing routine operational checks and informing Health Services administration of any suspected or potential deficiencies or malfunctions
  • Following national, organizational, and institutional safety protocols to protect patients and themselves from excessive radiation exposure
  • Maintaining accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data, and effectively communicating health information to appropriate Health Services staff
  • Managing the daily operation of the radiological clinic by verifying patient identification, producing lists of scheduled patients to custody staff, coordinating movement of patients to and from the radiological clinic
