The assisted living certified nursing assistant participates in planning, organizing and facilitating the operations of the home.  The nursing assistant works cooperatively with residents, co-workers, families, visitors and volunteers to create a positive and pleasant environment. This role performs combined duties of food service, housekeeping, activities, laundry and nursing.

What you’ll get to do in this role:

Administer medications per policy and procedure.

Assists in planning and implementing a variety of activities that meets the social, spiritual, intellectual, psychosocial and physical needs of the residents.

Assists with activities of daily living.

Maintaining a safe, comfortable and functional environment by assessing the household for potential hazards, utilizes appropriate techniques regarding sanitation, infection control, hazardous waste management, fire safety, disaster preparedness and emergency care.

Demonstrates support for organizational fiscal viability through efficient and effective use of all resources of the household, including supplies and availability of resources.

Dementia Sensitivity: able to demonstrate and nurture care practices for persons with dementia that meet needs while promoting individualized person-center care and sense of well-being.
