Job description

Role Summary

Our client, a nationally recognized, award-winning healthcare system, is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join its high-volume clinical laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art technology while supporting high-quality patient care through accurate laboratory testing.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to quality, and a passion for delivering timely and accurate diagnostic results. New graduates with relevant clinical laboratory experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory tests to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease
  • Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Accurately document and report laboratory test results in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations, quality assurance standards, and infection control procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a high standard of laboratory performance
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program
  • Current MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), or equivalent certification
  • Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and testing methodologies
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Blood Bank experience
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume clinical laboratory
  • New graduates who have completed clinical rotations in a high-volume laboratory setting will be considered
Schedule & Compensation
  • Full-time position (40 hours per week)
  • Hourly pay ranging from $23.50 to $38.90, based on education (MLT vs. MT) and experience
  • Shift differentials available for evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates
