Job description

Ignite Your Passion in the Lab: Become Part of a Dynamic Diagnostic Team Near Coastal Wonders
Overview
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Clinical Lab Technician-an individual who pairs an inquisitive mind with meticulous attention to detail-to join our vibrant team. In this full-time, first-shift role within a thriving community hospital located in a picturesque coastal region, you will play a crucial role in delivering transformative diagnostic insights. Here, you will collaborate with a team of driven professionals, supported by a comprehensive rewards package designed to enhance your career and nurture your well-being.
Description - Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct both routine and specialized laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while adhering to established protocols.
  • Evaluate test outcomes for precision, address discrepancies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
  • Assist with specimen acquisition and prepare samples for analysis as required.
  • Maintain thorough documentation during all procedures, participate in training new employees or students, and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
  • Uphold a safe and clean work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree, plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within your first year of employment.
  • Maintain valid clinical certification throughout your time with us.
Skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Able to demonstrate independent thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail, particularly in quality assurance and documentation practices.
Benefits
  • Attractive salary reflecting experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive market-leading benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as life and disability coverage.
  • Generous paid time off from the start, along with additional holiday and vacation time based on experience.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional advancement.
  • A comprehensive total rewards package that emphasizes your overall health and well-being.

Follow the Data to Life-Saving Outcomes
In this role, your precise work with samples holds the potential to influence the decisions of healthcare providers-and the lives of patients. Each slide you analyze can confirm an infection, thus guiding antibiotic treatment, or identify metabolic shifts that may be silently affecting a patient's health. Your dedication ensures the accuracy that healthcare workers and patients rely upon every day.
A Culture Embracing Teamwork
Your journey here is not merely a job; it is a collaborative environment. Become part of a community that embraces opportunities for continual enhancement, collective brainstorming, and team-building activities. Participate in seasonal workshops, competence reviews, and improvement initiatives that encourage the sharing of ideas. You will be empowered to engage in committees, suggest process improvements, and guide newcomers through their onboarding process.
A Coastal Retreat: Where Waves Embrace Life
Envision a stunning coastal area characterized by rolling waves, sunlit shores, and lively community gatherings. The local lifestyle is rich with arts, food markets overflowing with fresh produce, and opportunities for outdoor recreation. You might find yourself paddleboarding at dawn or enjoying a rooftop concert in a vibrant park. In this close-knit community, connections are genuine, support is abundant, and shared values create a harmonious atmosphere reflecting the very essence of healthcare here.
Stroll through charming neighborhoods featuring unique boutiques, engage in leisurely nature hikes, and experience diverse cultural events-from theater performances to open-air festivals. Commuting remains simple, allowing for an easy connection to the metro, all while enjoying a much more balanced life compared to larger cities. Affordable living means your earnings stretch further, enhancing your quality of life through weekend getaways, local wines, and engaging sports events.
Creating Impact, Inspiring Excellence
In this thriving locale, every lab technician's role transcends traditional boundaries; each team member is integral to the health of the community. Witness the impact of your work-quicker diagnoses, safer healthcare practices, happier patients, and an overall system that operates smoothly. The gratitude you receive, from both patients and fellow medical professionals, reflects not just your diligence in providing accurate lab results, but also the essential role you play in delivering timely care.
Your Next Step in Your Lab Journey Awaits
If you seek more than merely a paycheck-if you're inspired by a sense of purpose, personal development, and making a difference in your community-this position is calling your name. Whether you are fresh out of certification or have years of experience in the field, you will find guidance, challenges, and opportunities waiting for you here.
Ready to Embark on Your Next Chapter?
Step into a role where your attention to detail meets a community that celebrates innovation and compassion-a place where every test result tells a story of healing. If you are driven to invest your talents in a position that values accuracy, teamwork, and care, we cannot wait to hear from you.
