We are a well-established CPA firm in Gulfport, Mississippi, dedicated to providing exceptional accounting, tax, and advisory services to our clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the firm's accounts payable process while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to work independently while collaborating with our accounting team.
Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and payment inquiries
  • Assist with month-end closing and account reconciliations
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation
  • Support other accounting and administrative functions as needed

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience preferred
