Job description

The Oasis Hotel & Convention Center is currently seeking career driven individuals who are committed to providing a memorable experience to our guests.

Our award winning hotel is a full service property, offering 173 guest rooms along with over 30,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. Housed within the Oasis, you will find Fire & Ice Restaurant & Bar, featuring Springfield’s only ice bar.

The Houseman supports and services the Room Attendants by ensuring the cleanliness in assigned Housekeeping areas is kept clean and fully stocked.

Responsibilities:

  • Removes all soiled linen and trash from rooms as soon as they become vacant.
  • Separates linen by type
  • Maintains the housekeeping closets by ensuring that all supplies are stocked. This includes guest and room supplies, linen and the removal of all trash and boxes.
  • Responsible for keeping the department storage room clean and organized
  • Public space and guest room carpet cleaning
  • Assists in the receiving and storage of all equipment and supplies
  • Delivery of guest request items, i.e., rollaways, cribs, etc.
  • Assists in the Laundry department when required

Requirements:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must excel in a fast paced environment
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Must have a positive, cheerful disposition
  • Weekends are required

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires constant standing, forward reaching, and walking. Position also requires frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing and overhead reaching. Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs.

Working Environment:

  • Must be able to adapt to all weather conditions.

Miscellaneous Requirements

Candidate must be able to pass a physical through Carr Physical Therapy prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
