Position Summary
Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Receiving Clerk to join our Purchasing Team. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing merchandise and supplies throughout the resort. The Receiving Clerk ensures all deliveries are accurately documented, verifies incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices, and supports the efficient flow of goods to departments across the property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries.
  • Compare shipments against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Record and maintain receiving documentation and shipping logs.
  • Notify departments when packages or deliveries are received.
  • Assist with unloading, stocking, and storing merchandise in designated storage areas, coolers, and freezers.
  • Deliver supplies and merchandise to resort departments as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate temperature controls and storage procedures for perishable items.
  • Inventory and maintain shipping supplies and materials.
  • Store and track unclaimed packages until departmental pickup.
  • Assist the receiving team with expediting deliveries and package distribution.
  • Facilitate associate mail pickup during designated hours.
  • Support Loss Prevention with key-control processes when requested.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old (21 years old if operating a resort vehicle).
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must meet company driving and insurability requirements.
  • Previous experience in receiving, shipping, warehousing, inventory control, or hospitality operations preferred.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • OSHA Hazard Communication training or knowledge is preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, balancing, and lifting.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in warehouse, storage, cooler, freezer, and outdoor environments.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Slip-resistant, closed-toe, closed-heel footwear is required.
