Job Responsibilities
As a Hotel Operations Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the hotel and be the liaison between the Sales and Events Office and the hotel Operations Team
Your specific duties in this role will include:
• Prepare internal and external correspondence.
• Review and distribute reports to Management staff as needed.
• Assist Sales & Events office by being contact for walk in guests interested in booking group rooms or events.
• Distribute reports and information from the Sales & Events office to the property Operations team.
• Maintain and order appropriate level of sales collateral.
• Deliver group room "gift bags".
• Assist with tracking associate training classes and activities.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, outlets, hours of operation, amenities and selling strategies.
• Perform Front Desk and Driver duties as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Executive office and surrounding areas.
• Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance. Report deficiencies.
Job Requirements
We are looking for a self-motivated Hotel Operations Assistant with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important that you have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as the ability to establish rapport with guests and colleagues.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
• 6 months to 1 year related experience
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience Maintain a valid Driver's License from the state which you reside with no major violations
• Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
