The Pursuit Adventure Centre & Retail Manageris responsible forleading the guest experience across multiple locations that combine adventure bookings for Pursuit attractions with curated retail offerings.

This role blends leadership, operations, and guest engagement, ensuring each location delivers a welcoming, organized, and commercially successful environment. The Manager oversees day-to-day operations, leads and developsa strong team, and ensures inventory, merchandising, and booking systems are managed effectively.

Working closely with partners across retail, hotel operations,central reservations, and finance, the Manager ensures these spacesoperateseamlessly while helping guests discover and book unforgettable experiences in the Canadian Rockies.

This role also supports broader initiatives and projects that contribute to the continued growth of Pursuit's retail and guest experience programs.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Engagement

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across multiple locations

  • Foster a positive team culture focused on hospitality, accountability, and collaboration

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team development

  • Ensure team members are confident supporting both adventure bookings and retail sales

Guest Experience & Adventure Bookings

  • Ensure guests receive knowledgeable and thoughtful guidance when booking Pursuit experiences

  • Maintain strong understanding of local attractions and seasonal offerings

  • Support the team in delivering warm, engaging guest interactions that enhance the overall travel experience

Retail Operations & Merchandising

  • Oversee retail operations including merchandising standards, product presentation, and guest engagement

  • Support product storytelling and retail experiences that complement the destination and guest journey

  • Monitor retail performance andidentifyopportunities to enhance the assortment and guest experience

Inventory Management & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain strong inventory management practices across locations

  • Oversee product receiving, transfers, and stock organization

  • Ensureaccurateinventory tracking and coordination with the retail buying team

  • Support efficient operations thatmaintainproduct availability while protecting overall store performance

Collaboration & Business Alignment

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across hotel operations, retail support teams, andcentral reservations/ revenue teams

  • Build strong relationships with partners and departments to support a seamless guest journey

  • Contribute to operational planning and business initiatives that support long-term growth

Safety & Responsible Operations

  • Promote andmaintaina strong culture of safety for guests and team members across all locations

  • Ensure team members follow established safety practices related to guest interactions, retail operations, and workplace procedures

  • Support clear communication of safety considerations related to adventure bookings, seasonal conditions, and guest preparedness

  • Maintain organized, safe retail and storage environments that support efficient and responsible operations

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Leadership experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, or guest service environments

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams whilemaintainingstrong teamengagement

  • Strong organizational and operational management skills

  • Experience managing inventory, stock flow, or retail operations

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations asrequired

  • Experience in destination tourism, adventure tourism, or hospitalityis an asset

  • Knowledge of Banff& JasperNational Parkas well as Golden,BCand local attractions

  • Experience with POS systems, booking platforms, or inventory management systems

  • Retail merchandising or product storytelling experience

  • Experience managing multi-location operations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the AdventureCentersand hotel

  • Ability to lift and organize merchandise or gear up to approximately 25lbs (11kg)

  • Regular use of computer systems, maps, and communication tools

  • Occasionalassistanceoutdoors with guest orientation, equipment, or wayfinding
