Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeping Manager, this position will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department, supporting our associates and ensuring our guest rooms and public areas consistently meet brand and CMC Hotels standards.

Working under the direction of the Executive Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Manager will:

  • Assist with the daily management and operation of the Housekeeping Department, including guest rooms, public areas, linen operations, and other assigned hotel areas.
  • Support the Executive Housekeeping Manager in maintaining established CMC Hotels and brand cleanliness, service, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop Room Attendants, Housepersons, Public Area Attendants, Laundry Attendants, and other housekeeping associates.
  • Assist with daily room assignments and staffing based on hotel occupancy, arrivals, departures, special requests, group activity, and business levels.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, corridors, service areas, and housekeeping work areas to ensure established cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor room status throughout the day and communicate closely with the Front Office to ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Banquets, and other hotel departments to address operational and guest needs.
  • Assist with training new housekeeping associates and provide ongoing coaching to reinforce proper cleaning procedures, productivity expectations, guest service, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a strong presence throughout the hotel and provide hands-on assistance to the housekeeping team during high occupancy, call-outs, special events, or other operational needs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns related to cleanliness, room condition, amenities, or housekeeping services and assist with appropriate service recovery.
  • Identify maintenance concerns during room and property inspections and ensure issues are promptly communicated to the Engineering Department.
  • Assist with monitoring housekeeping supplies, guest room amenities, linens, uniforms, and equipment to ensure appropriate inventory levels and proper controls.
  • Support linen and laundry operations to ensure adequate par levels and proper handling, storage, and distribution of hotel linens.
  • Assist with inventory counts and help control departmental expenses, supply usage, linen loss, and labor costs.
  • Ensure housekeeping closets, storage areas, offices, linen rooms, and back-of-house areas remain clean, organized, and secure.
  • Reinforce proper handling, labeling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Ensure associates follow company policies, safety procedures, uniform and appearance standards, and established guest service expectations.
  • Assist the Executive Housekeeping Manager with associate scheduling, attendance management, performance coaching, and documentation as needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, pre-shift meetings, training programs, and hotel leadership meetings as assigned.
  • Support VIP arrivals, group business, special events, and other full-service hotel operational needs by ensuring rooms and public spaces are properly prepared.
  • Assist with lost-and-found procedures and ensure items are properly documented, secured, and handled according to company policy.
  • Help maintain compliance with applicable health, sanitation, safety, and company requirements.
  • Serve as a departmental leader in the absence of the Executive Housekeeping Manager when assigned.
  • Perform additional duties and provide operational support as necessary to meet the needs of the hotel.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous housekeeping leadership experience in a full-service hotel environment strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or similar hotel housekeeping leadership position preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, guest room cleaning standards, public area cleanliness, linen management, and sanitation procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, train, and hold associates accountable while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced hotel environment.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to effectively partner with other hotel departments and members of the leadership team.
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to take a hands-on approach to hotel operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, kneel, lift, push, and pull while performing housekeeping-related responsibilities.
