We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to lead the hotel's overall operation and bring energy, accountability, and heart to the guest and associate experience. As General Manager, you will oversee all areas of the hotel, including Rooms, Sales, Marketing, Maintenance, and Administration. You will set the tone for the property by leading with intention, developing a strong team, creating memorable guest experiences, and delivering financial performance through thoughtful revenue generation and expense management.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the overall operation of The Inn on Sheridan, ensuring the hotel consistently delivers exceptional guest service, operational excellence, and strong financial results.
  • Create a workplace culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and genuine hospitality.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain a high-performing hotel team that is empowered to exceed guest expectations.
  • Partner closely with on-property sales leaders and corporate sales and revenue management teams to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Oversee Rooms, Maintenance, Administration, Sales, and Marketing functions to ensure alignment, communication, and execution across departments.
  • Proactively address guest feedback and service opportunities with empathy, urgency, and professionalism.
  • Manage budgets, control expenses, oversee purchasing, and ensure effective use of hotel resources.
  • Inspire department leaders to uphold First Hospitality standards and deliver consistent service, cleanliness, safety, and brand expectations.
  • Ensure the hotel team has the tools, supplies, training, and communication needed to perform at a high level.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and lead the team confidently through safety, security, and guest-related situations.
  • Serve as a visible, engaged leader who leads by example and represents the property and First Hospitality with professionalism and pride.

  • 5+ years of hotel management experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a diplomatic, solutions-oriented approach.

Physical Requirements
