Job description

The Breakfast Hostess is responsible for setting up the daily breakfast, ensuring that the breakfast items are well stocked, and keeping the breakfast area clean. This position requires good customer service skills and the ability to multi-task and effectively communicate with guests regarding breakfast and knowledge of basic hotel information. Responsibilities
  • Maintain good personal appearance at all times; wear proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by the hotel. 
  • Ensure proper preparation and arrangement of breakfast items as per Hotel Brand Standards. 
  • Ensuring the quality and appearance of the food meets hotel's standards. 
  • Greet all arriving guests at your station in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome. 
  • Advise the hotel management of any complaints so that they can be rectified immediately. 
  • Maintain a clean breakfast with the required supplies at all times during the hotel's breakfast hours. 
  • Clean up and properly store all items including food after breakfast is over. 
  • Ensure the buffet & seating tables are cleaned properly and set up according to hotel standards. 
  • Stock items as deliveries arrive. Ensure all food items are rotated with oldest in front, newest in back. 
  • Help to minimize waste and inform management of items to be ordered or items which are overstocked. 
  • Check the cleaning frequency chart and do the required cleaning each day. 
  • Communicate with management, front desk for service related matters, and maintenance for equipment related matters. 
  • Help other hotel personnel as necessary. 
  • Additional duties from hotel manager will be assigned as necessary.
