What is a hotel icon?

A Hotel Icon refers to a hotel that is renowned for its exceptional design, service, history, or cultural significance, often becoming a landmark in its city or region. Hotel Icons often set industry standards and are frequently featured in travel guides, attracting tourists and business travelers alike. Examples include the Ritz in Paris, The Plaza in New York, or the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a hotel manager, and why are they important?
